SHOPPING AND DINING

DINING

It’s nearly impossible to narrow down the top restaurants and eateries on Maui, suffice to say there are literally dozens and dozens and dozens…from high-end gourmet chef inspirations featuring fresh-caught fish or Maui-grown beef, to vegan options guaranteed to please the most discerning among us, to food trucks that will delight you with their variety and quality of offerings.  When it comes to food, Maui is amazing from Kapalua/Kaanapali/Lahaina on the West Side, to Wailuku/Kahului in Central Maui, to Upcountry’s Makawao/Pukalani/Kula, to North Shore’s Paia, East Maui’s Hana and South Maui’s Kihei/Wailea/Makena.  And don’t miss the island’s incredible Farmers Markets in Kahului, Kihei, and Upcountry where fresh backed goods, just-picked veggies, goat cheese, Maui wines and coffees are just a few of the treats awaiting foodies!

SHOPPING

In the last few years Maui has experienced an influx of ‘big box’ stores like Costco, Target, and Wal-Mart but the island’s numerous designer boutiques, galleries and specialty shops promise shopping experiences unique to Maui.  Our creative artist population is unparalleled as are the chic boutiques of Upcountry and the fun antiques shops of Wailuku.  Lahaina Town’s front street is chockablock with shops and galleries of every description while along South Maui, Kihei/Wailea/Makena, you’ll find among the usual tourist fare hidden jewels of glamour offering the best in fashion, jewelry, and art. The island’s main shopping malls are Whaler’s Village in Kaanapali, Queen Kaahumanu Center in Kahului and The Shops at Wailea.
