Located only about 30 minutes from Kahului airport, South Maui is known for its world-class beaches, restaurants, golf, tennis, and shopping. This magnificent coastal strip of tropical paradise stretches about 20 miles from more affordable North Kihei south through trendy Central and South Kihei and on to the luxury communities of Wailea and Makena…and includes everything from modest single family homes and condominiums to exclusive estates, resort condominium developments and luxury hotels.
Kihei is the sunniest and driest part of Maui with a casual vibe and six miles of gorgeous beaches; perfect for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. There are dozens of excellent places to eat all along this popular beach town, from fine dining to sandwich/pizza/health food and picnic boxes…in other words it’s a foodies’ paradise too!
Farther south, Wailea is posh and exclusive, a manicured, planned resort-style community offering a variety of stunning residential single-family and condominium developments, 5-Star hotels, lush golf courses, restaurants and upscale shopping. And of course, Wailea’s five crescent-shaped beaches are guaranteed to impress the most travelled of visitors and residents year ‘round.
Continuing south, is quiet Makena, which today commands some of the highest real estate prices on Maui with its grand estates, exclusive condominium developments and pristine beaches.
